MRS 3.5 - Changes Out Now

New Changes in MRS 3.5 - Out Now!

We are introducing a series of major updates to the Microbiological Reporting System (MRS) designed to enhance data clarity, improve communication with customers, and consolidate key environmental monitoring workflows. The following features were released as part of MRS 3.5, inquire today to arrange an update!

Plate Markup

The new Plate Markup capability enables users to visually annotate images captured on the MRS Cube when recording plate results. This functionality allows you to highlight colonies, mark areas of interest, and provide contextual commentary directly on the plate image.

Once saved, annotated images become part of the final report delivered to your customers, giving them a clear, visual explanation of the findings associated with the plates they submitted. This enhancement significantly improves the clarity of result interpretation and supports more robust communication across teams.

Room Maps

MRS Web now includes support for uploading and managing clean-room floor plans. Users and their customers can upload a floor plan for any monitored environment and then overlay failure rates for selected plate groups directly onto the image.

This feature introduces a powerful spatial perspective to environmental monitoring. By visualising test outcomes within their physical context, customers gain a clearer understanding of contamination patterns and can more effectively target remediation efforts.

Water Testing Integration

We have consolidated our Environmental and Water Testing (EWT) system into MRS, expanding the platform to fully support water sampling workflows. Users will be able to record water testing data, conduct reviews, and present results to their water testing customers through the unified MRS interface.

This integration streamlines operations by eliminating the need to work across separate systems. It also ensures consistent reporting standards, unified data storage, and a more efficient experience for both users and their customers.

These enhancements represent a significant step forward for MRS, providing stronger visual insight, improved customer communication, and a more holistic platform for environmental monitoring activities. Get in touch today to arrange an upgrade, or ask us for a demo!
