On Wednesday 21 October, WJPS were notified of an upcoming PHP security release due to be published later that day. Because full details of the vulnerability would be made public alongside the new version, we acted immediately to ensure our customers would not be left exposed.
Ahead of the release, our team deployed an emergency update to all customer sites to ensure compatibility with the latest version of PHP. This allowed us to apply the security fix the moment it became available. All customer sites were running the patched version within 10 minutes of its release by the PHP Group.
