As 2025 comes to an end, it feels like a good time to pause and reflect on what’s been a positive and busy year for WJP Software.
We were pleased to welcome new customers, with Quantum Pharmaceutical and Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust starting to use MRS. Seeing new teams adopt the system and make it part of their daily QA work is always rewarding.
April marked the official end of support for MRS 2.5. It’s been a solid product for many years and played an important role in helping us – and our customers – build strong foundations for MRS 3. We’re grateful to everyone who used and supported it along the way.
This year also saw an important product step forward, with Water Testing being fully brought into MRS. There was a lot of shared functionality, so combining everything into one system has made things simpler and more consistent for our customers.
We spent more time meeting people face to face too. We exhibited at several conferences during the year, including our first step into exploring the EU market with a conference in Austria. These events are invaluable for conversations, feedback, and learning how labs are really working on the ground.
AI has been another area of focus. While it’s still early days for our sector, 2025 helped us understand where it can genuinely help. Internally, it’s supported development and planning, and from a product point of view it led to the introduction of the MRS Cube. This has allowed us to explore image capture and markup, helping Unit Managers see exactly what the lab sees and share that insight more easily.
We also hosted an MRS User Group in Leeds, with 21 attendees – one of our biggest yet. Bringing together NHS and private healthcare users gave us open, practical discussions that have directly shaped our product roadmap and future plans.
Overall, 2025 has been a year of steady progress, good conversations, and learning. We’d like to thank everyone who’s worked with us, given feedback, or supported us along the way – and we’re looking forward to building on this in the year ahead.
