James is the heart of business, having started the business as a hobby aged 18 he is proud to have expanded the business, its products and client base. Having graduated from University in 2007 with a first-class honours degree in Computer Science, he spent a number of years working in the Higher Education sector as an IT Project Manager. This experience married with his lifelong exposure to the NHS Pharmacy environment has allowed him to tailor the business to match the sectors exacting requirements. To cement his experience of education James became a British Computing Society Chartered IT professional in 2016.

James’ passion lies in application of technology in situations where large data sets need managing, and the range of products that WJPS offers reflects this passion. He aims is to keep abreast with the latest developments in these areas to make sure they can be applied to new and existing projects. Knowing the business and products inside out is very important to James, this approach along with his drive to delivery excellect customer satisfaction gives the business great foundations and makes WJPS the perfect partner for your development project.

Outside the business James enjoys walking his dog, Alfie who often visits this office. Spending time with his son, daughter and wife as well as dinghy sailing when the great British weather allows him to.

Jo joined WJPS in September 2015 and as Office Manager is responsible for all aspects of office administration including invoicing, accounts and contracts. She is also responsible for maintaining and updating all our regulatory compliance requirements relating to ISO and NHS standards. Jo is the first point of contact for all queries relating to finance and administration.

Jo’s background is in television production, working for 10 years at the BBC as a Script Supervisor on a variety of programming including CBeebies, EastEnders and The Proms.

Jo enjoys travelling, having journeyed through Brazil and Argentina before living in Australia for a year. After taking redundancy from the BBC Jo returned to her roots in North Yorkshire to raise her young family in Bedale where she likes baking cakes, drinking tea and exploring the great Yorkshire countryside.

Steven joined WJPS in December 2015 after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Applied Computing with Digital Media. Since joining he has developed and honed his skills across the business with a focus on application development and web design. Steven is responsible for overseeing all development within WJPS. The Microbiological Reporting System is Steven's main project, as lead developer he is always looking at ways to improve the user experience and functionality of all products as well as supporting WJPS customers with their queries and training new users on the WJPS systems.

Steven has a great interest in new technology, making him a good fit for the business pushing the latest technology and ideas into our product where appropriate. He also thoroughly enjoys motorsport and follows Formula 1 closely, also leading to his enthusiasm for racing games and cars in general.

Brandon joined WJPS in October 2018 where he recently graduated from Northumbria University in 2017 with a degree in Computer Games Design and Production. He has a real passion for technology and enjoys learning new programming concepts and techniques. The public sector is very important to him since he has family who work in the NHS and wants to provide robust applications that will help people. Brandon is responsible for the development of Microbiological Reporting System working alongside Steven the Lead Developer.

Brandon enjoys playing video games where he spends a lot of his time on the weekend. He also enjoys going to the gym and playing sports where he played American Football for Northumbria University and was part of the team that won Northumbria University Stan Calvert performance of the year.

Alex joined WJPS in 2019, as a student developer, for part of his Computer Networks and Cybersecurity course at Northumbria University. He has worked on the development of the Web Communication System and MRS 3, as well as other projects within the office. By working at WJPS Alex has been able to apply his skills in a working environment but also improve upon them, both working alone and with others.

Alex’s interests include going to the gym, spending time with friends, going to see live music, and video games. He also enjoys football, both watching and playing and follows his local team closely.

Stephen joined the company in May 2017, although he had worked closely with WJPS for over 5 years prior to this. He is a registered pharmacy professional who still works as a Specialist Quality Assurance Technician within the NHS. His role includes providing quality assurance support to both MHRA licenced and un-licenced Aseptic, Cytotoxic and Radiopharmacy units. Stephen’s experience includes validating, implementing and managing a wide range of software solutions. This skill and expertise has been invaluable to WJPS and Stephen is now responsible for managing our product validations both in house and on behalf of clients.

Although currently working in pharmacy Stephen’s background lies in aviation engineering and he spent over ten years in the Royal Air Force. He joined as an apprentice mechanic and left, after a successful career, as one of the youngest engineering non-commissioned officers to explore other careers.

Stephen enjoys developing and implementing validation strategies with the aim of providing quick and seamless roll outs of new systems and updates. His aim is to build both quality and regulatory compliance into a system from design through to launch.

When not in work Stephen enjoys spending time with his young family, camping and walking in the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District at any given opportunity.
