James is the heart of business, having started the business as a hobby aged 18 he is proud to have expanded the business, its products and client base. Having graduated from University in 2007 with a first-class honours degree in Computer Science, he spent a number of years working in the Higher Education sector as an IT Project Manager. This experience married with his lifelong exposure to the NHS Pharmacy environment has allowed him to tailor the business to match the sectors exacting requirements. To cement his experience of education James became a British Computing Society Chartered IT professional in 2016.
James’ passion lies in application of technology in situations where large data sets need managing, and the range of products that WJPS offers reflects this passion. He aims is to keep abreast with the latest developments in these areas to make sure they can be applied to new and existing projects. Knowing the business and products inside out is very important to James, this approach along with his drive to delivery excellent customer satisfaction gives the business great foundations and makes WJPS the perfect partner for your development project.
Outside the business James enjoys walking his dog, Alfie who often visits this office. Spending time with his son, daughter and wife as well as dinghy sailing when the great British weather allows him to.
Rebecca officially started at WJPS in September 2019 and is responsible for developing and overseeing the Marketing of the company. This includes developing and maintaining the reputation of the brand, developing news stories and blogs and producing social media content to inform our clients about internal products but also, responses to relevant stories in the media.
Rebecca’s background is in marketing in the education industry having worked at a number of different universities and colleges as well as higher education initiatives promoting the benefits of study to students.
Rebecca has two children which keeps her busy at home and is part owner of Alfie the Labrador who takes up more of her time. When she does get some time to herself, she enjoys the gym and baking.
Steven joined WJPS in December 2015 after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Applied Computing with Digital Media. Since joining he has developed and honed his skills across the business with a focus on application development and web design. Steven is responsible for overseeing all development within WJPS. The Microbiological Reporting System is Steven's main project, as lead developer he is always looking at ways to improve the user experience and functionality of all products as well as supporting WJPS customers with their queries and training new users on the WJPS systems.
Steven has a great interest in new technology, making him a good fit for the business pushing the latest technology and ideas into our product where appropriate. He also thoroughly enjoys motor sport and follows Formula 1 closely, also leading to his enthusiasm for racing games and cars in general.
Tobias joined WJPS in 2020 and is responsible for all areas of Customer Support, from dealing with day to day customer issues and queries, software installation, to writing and producing technical documentation and video tutorials for WJPS’s portfolio of software products.
With a background in Musical Instrument Retail, HR and Data Processing, he’s also able to use his multi-disciplinary experience to help in other relevant areas of the business as the need arises.
Outside of work he’s a keen photographer, and can often be found searching for obscure and interesting locations to capture, and also a keen writer and musician - having played guitar since age 11 (although he says he’s still terrible at it!).
Jo joined WJPS in September 2015 and as Office Manager is responsible for all aspects of office administration including invoicing, accounts and contracts. She is also responsible for maintaining and updating all our regulatory compliance requirements relating to ISO and NHS standards. Jo is the first point of contact for all queries relating to finance and administration.
Jo’s background is in television production, working for 10 years at the BBC as a Script Supervisor on a variety of programming including CBeebies, EastEnders and The Proms.
Jo enjoys travelling, having journeyed through Brazil and Argentina before living in Australia for a year. After taking redundancy from the BBC Jo returned to her roots in North Yorkshire to raise her young family in Bedale where she likes baking cakes, drinking tea and exploring the great Yorkshire countryside.
Paul joined WJPS in 2023 and is the first point of contact for customer support dealing with questions, queries, and issues. He is responsible for our helpdesk support system and ensuring that the queries are filtered the to the correct person and dealt with promptly.
Paul has a background in customer services having spent much of his life working in Estate Agency and in the agricultural industry.
Living in Bedale with his wife and two children Paul spends most of his spare time coaching and organising at Bedale Cricket Club. As a qualified coach Paul spends most of his time coaching the junior teams and can usually be found either at a cricket ground or in a sports hall !!

Office hours: Whenever he feels like it.
Alfie has been a devoted member of the WJPS team for 8 years now, and has provided a supportive presence in the office ever since.
Likes: Food, Treats, Cuddles and Sleeping under desks or on his leather chair.
Dislikes: People who don’t offer him food, Being woken up, Someone else sitting in his leather chair.
Special skills: Posing for photos, Taking the bins out (specifically emptying them in search of food), organising Bees desk draws (again, in search of food), and hoovering the office (you guessed it, in search of food.)
